Laser treatment for vascular lesions: broken capillaries, spider veins, rosacea, and more in Bothell are discussed often as an easy and effective way for removing vascular lesions. If you think you may be interested in laser treatment for vascular lesions, LeVisage Wellness Center & Spa would love to help you understand the process and discuss your options.
Using lasers to remove the appearance of vascular lesions is not a new concept; doctors began using lasers to treat them in the late 1960s. However, the type of laser that they used was known as continuous-wave lasers, and they were not quite precise and often too strong. Patients would have more-than-desired scarring in the targeted areas. It was not until the 1980s when doctors started to be able to control the wavelength, the movement, and the pulse duration that they were able to control scarring.
We use the Clarity by Lutronic Laser to remove vascular lesions. Uniquely, it uses two wavelengths to target different skin tones, ensure that it will work for everyone. The treatment itself should only take a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the size of the area. It should also heal relatively quickly, within a week, compared to plastic surgery and more invasive treatments. It is advisable to avoid the sun for approximately two weeks after the procedure to make sure that it heals without the sun damaging the area.
